Ferol E. (Blunk) Houk, 93MUNCIE - Ferol E. (Blunk) Houk,93, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at her residence.She was born on December 10, 1923 in Plainfield, IN, the first daughter of Lora E. and Iva M. (Salsman) Blunk.Ferol graduated from Pennville High School. She worked for Ball Brothers, Wilson's Restaurant from 1962 until 1968, owned and operated Cavanaugh's Café in Eaton, Indiana Glass, Elks Country Club, and Target. Ferol was an avid seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, and needlepoint.Survivors include her children, Stanley Cavanaugh, Helen Rodgers (Jim), Colleen Davis (Mike), Laura Loretta Curtis (Dennis), Janet Rottinghaus, and Karen Gibson (Roger); brothers, Kenneth Blunk, Vernie Blunk (Joanne), and Cecil Blunk (Lee); sister-in-law, Marylyn Blunk; brother-in-law, Gene Champ; son-in-law, Bill Ashcraft; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; several great- great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald Rector; second husband, Dennis Cavanaugh, and third husband, Walter Houk; two sons, Dennis Ray Cavanaugh and Andrew Cavanaugh; daughter, Kathryn Ashcraft; four brothers; two sisters, and five grandchildren.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Rd., Muncie, IN 47304. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt.
