Flordeliza CarbonelSeptember 5, 1954 - December 22, 2016It is with great sorrow that the family of Flordeliza Carbonel announces her passing. After a courageous battle with cancer, Flordeliza passed away at her home surrounded by her family on December 22, 2016 at the age of 62 years. Flordeliza was born on September 5, 1954 in Manila, Philippines. She was raised in Santa Ilocos Sur, Philippines by her grandparents the late Mr. and Mrs. Eusebio Baldonado. She later lived with her parents Mrs. Mercedes Carbonel and the late Mr. Fernando Carbonel Sr. along with her siblings. Where she then attended Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines and graduated with her Bachelor in Commerce. Later, Flor immigrated to Canada with her sister Evelyn in 1990. She was employed as a banquet porter / server for 22 years at Radisson Hotel. She was predeceased by her father, Fernando Carbonel Sr.; and grandparents, Eusebio and Catalina; Fidel and Segunda. She will forever be remembered by her mother, Mercedes Carbonel. Her siblings, Ben (Jasmine), Elsie, Ella (Resty), Evelyn (Ronnie), Elvie, Marichu (Brendo), and Jhun (Lovelee). Her treasured nieces, Queenie, Krystelle (Scott), Janine, Shaelyn, and Jeiel and nephews, Melvin, Kenneth, Jerrick, Josh, Jarred, Jeirus, Jedd, and Jeidan. Her grandnephew, Cohen and grandniece, Scarlette. As well as niece, Imelda (William) and kids, along with countless friends, relatives, and family who were blessed to know her. Flor enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with many of her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her hard working ethics and touching the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. The Wake will be held from 6:00 p.m. to Midnight on Thursday, January 12, 2017 and on Friday, January 13, 2017 with a Vigil Prayer on Friday, January 13, 2017 starting at 7:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Home, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish, 3339 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon, SK. Afterwards, the Rite of Committal will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saskatoon, SK.
