Florence PanagakosGreerFlorence Panagakos fell asleep in the Lord on October 27, 2017 surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She loved her family, friends, and church members both at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Parkwood Baptist Church. She will be most remembered sitting on her front porch with her dog Honey, waving a greeting with a friendly "hello" to all who passed by. Florence was born on May 2, 1931 to the late Eugene and Patsy Lark. Florence is survived by her children: Catherine Panagakos, Mark Panagakos (Jodi), and Larke Panagakos; her grandchildren, Niki Burger (Chad), Nick Littleton (Kayla), Tyler Panagakos (Stephanie), and Rachel Panagakos; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Burger, Ashley Burger, and Lathan Littleton; and her brother, Leroy Lark (Judy). She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Panagakos and her daughter Maria Panagakos. A graveside service will be held at Springwood Cemetery in Greenville on Monday, October 30th at 1:00pm with Pastor Stan Wardlaw officiating. The family will receive friends at The Mackey Mortuary on Sunday, October 29th from 6:00-8:00pm.
