Obuhanich, Florence R.Age 92, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. Florence was born on July 12, 1925 to the late John and Anna (Jugan) Dunn. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband Paul on December 29, 2003. Florence is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Batroney of Horseheads, Patty Butler of Horseheads, Rita and Joseph Szcerbowski of West Seneca NY; grandchildren, Teresa and Daniel Bruce of Horseheads, Billy Butler of Los Angeles CA, John and Sheri Hall of Guyton GA; great-grandchildren, Annabella Bruce, Jonathon and Seneca Hall; along with several nieces and nephews. Florence retired from the Elmira City School District, and S. F. Iszard's where she loved to spend her time working in the tea room. She'll be most remembered for her love of daisies and ruby red lipstick. Florence was a long time communicant of St. Mary's Church, Elmira, a member of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment, with committal prayers, will then take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
