Florence Laura TaylorFlorence Taylor, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at St. Paul's Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon Taylor (2012). She is survived by two daughters Louise and Susan; two sons Patrick (Kim) and James (Carol); grandsons Matthew and Mark; granddaughters Samantha and Jeanne; great-grandson Donavon; sister Doreen Beauchamp; and sister-in-law Carla Ponych. She was also predeceased by her parents Michael Ponych (1972) and Helen Ponych (nee Sobas) (1976); grandson Corey; siblings William Brown (1985), Gerald Ponych (2000), Patricia Ellis (nee Ponych) (1981) and brother-in-law Robert, Diane Ponych (1946) and Dolores Ponych (2012). Florence was born on September 11, 1929 in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. She then moved to Thunder Bay, ON where she met the love of her life, Gordon and lived for many years before moving to Yorkton, SK. She enjoyed the lake life around the Yorkton area, and then moved to Saskatoon in 1995. Florence and Gordon enjoyed many retirement years at Columbia Manor. She was a very active member of the CWL. Faith and her church were a very important part of her life. In our mom's memory, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be made to a charity of one's choice. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to St. Paul's Hospital, Flex Unit #2 for the care and compassion shown to Florence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church (1902 Munroe Ave. S.) in Saskatoon, with Rev. Father Emile April as the Celebrant. A Private Family Interment will take place at St. John's Columbarium.
