., BURLINGTON - Age 74, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Lencho was born on March 3, 1938 in Kenosha , WI, to Florencio and Mary (nee Yanel) Alvarez Sr. He spent his early life in Kenosha before moving to Burlington at the age of 17. Lencho was a graduate of Burlington High School, a Supervisor for NEL Frequency in Burlington and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all Lencho loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his mother, Mary Alvarez, his loving sons; Florencio (Susan) Alvarez III, Kevin (Janell) Alvarez and Craig Alvarez, all of Burlington, grandchildren; Michael, Ashley, Jacob, Joel, Toni, Bryce and Shawn Alvarez, and by siblings; Caroline Grisham, Mary (Frank) Brown, Tony (Mary) Alvarez, Luis (Pat) Alvarez, Suzie Alvarez, Ramon Alvarez and AnaMaria Cotton. Lencho is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Florencio Sr., brother, José Alvarez, niece, Linda Sue Grisham, nephew, Billy Brown and by a brother-in-law, Jack Grisham. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, with Rev. Steve Amann officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Friday, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
