Florida CannonTravelers RestFlorida Cannon went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 10, 2016.Florida was born on April 6, 1945 in Hendersonville, NC. She spent her early years working at Slater Mill, and then later at Renfrew Baptist Church Child Development Center. She devoted her time to her family and was a member of Renfrew Baptist Church.She is survived by three sons: Jeff Burrell, Shawn Burrell (Buffie), and Josh Cannon (Augusta); one sister: Beatrice Clark (Bill); one brother: Kenneth Burrell (Linda); one sister-in-law: Carole Burrell; four grandchildren: Katelyn, Courtney, Austin, and Gabriella; and one great-granddaughter: Aubrie. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law: Jennifer Waldrop, and very special friend, Carol Glenn.Along with her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Hermon, Garland, and J.C.The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Renfrew Baptist Church on Geer Hwy, with a Memorial Service following at 2 p.m.The family will be at the home of a son, Josh Cannon.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Renfrew Baptist Church, 951 Geer Hwy., Travelers Rest, SC 29690, or Regency Hospice, 880 South Pleasantburg Dr., Suite 1A, Greenville, SC 29607.Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.thehowzemortuary.comThe Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest, is in charge of the arrangements.
