Florida McAfee, 83, of Country Club Hills, Illinois, passed on September 21, 2023. Florida was born on September 21, 2023. Florida was born in Itta Beana, Mississippi. She was the 6th child of 12 ( Naomi , Jean, Monroe, William(Billie), Robert (Bobby Joe), Alice, Rose, Peggy , Tony , and Sandy, Ata young age her family moved to Robbins, Illinois and then to Chicago. As a young lady she worked at one of her fathers many restaurants and found her passion for cooking. She had many jobs but cooking was her thing cakes pies cookies soul food ohhh so good Florida accepted Christ at a early age in her life she married Esau McAfee and they raised two young sons Jeff and Danny they moved to country club Hills in 1972 where she made her journey to God in peace she also became a foster parent where she raised about 20 or more children she gave to so many life programs to help people all over the world and still paid her tithes. She was preceded by her husband Esau and her son Danny her brothers and sisters ( Raleigh, Billy Bobby Joe Monroe Naomi Alice Rose. She leaves to cherish her memories her son Jeff and his wife Kim and her sweet baby Shavon 12 grand children 24 great grandchildren five great Great grandchildren and a host of friends and family.
