Mrs. Flossie Ray Hoosier Eastridge, age 85 of Warrensville died on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Margate Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson. Mrs. Eastridge was born on May 28, 1930 in Clifton, NC to Frank and Dora Stanley Hoosier. Mrs. Eastridge was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Eastridge; sisters, Bell Moses, Ada Faircloth, and Blanche Shoemake; brothers, Earl Hoosier, Barney Hoosier, and Charlie Hoosier. She worked as cafeteria cook for the Ashe County school system. She was a long time member of Clifton Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Wade Huntsinger and Rev. Margaret Wannamacher. Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Eastridge is survived by: Son, Jerry Lee Eastridge and wife Mary of Warrensville, Son, Richard Dean Eastridge and wife Beth of Warrensville, Sister, Mary Daugherty of Warrensville; also surviving are three step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
