Heinze, Floyd G.Floyd G. Heinze, 86, Marshfield, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Floyd's four grandchildren, Ryan and Alyssa Hannan and Bailey and Lexi Schneider and nieces, Becky Haack Deetz and Nancy Bauer and a nephew Ted Haack. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Oppman, Don Berg, Gordon Jones, Bill Drexler Jr. and Randy Drexler. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 8:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Floyd was born on August 16, 1930 in Chili, Wisconsin, to Fred and Marie (Spuhler) Heinze. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard 32nd Red Arrow Division. He married Marie E. Leick on September 19, 1951 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. She died on October 2, 1988. He later married Lillian A. Kramer Drexler on September 4, 1993 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. Floyd had been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and then at Felker Brothers Manufacturing for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and served as an usher. He enjoyed car shows, car auctions, his 1965 Ford Mustang, playing cards and was a member of a card club for over 40 years. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 54 and the Rozellville Lions Club. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Floyd is survived by his wife, Lillian, his children, Dale (Donna) Heinze of Fond du Lac, Barb (Jeff) Schultz of Marshfield, Lori (Scott) Schneider of Stratford and Michele (Peter) Hannan of Spencer and grandchildren, Ryan and Alyssa Hannan and Bailey and Lexi Schneider. He is also survived by stepchildren, Bill (Joan) Drexler of Phillips, Linda (LeRoy) Steines of Weston, Barb (Russ) Giese of Edgar and Randy Drexler of Marshfield, 14 step grandchildren and 22 step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Marie, brothers, Clarence and Oscar Heinze, sisters, Verna Haack, Roberta Haack and June Hildebrandt, a half brother, Ralph Heinze, and a half sister, Florence Spuhler.
