Cochran, Sr. , Floyd R.Floyd R. Cochran Sr., 85, of Cortland passed away on June 18, 2017 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 14, 1931 in Lansing, NY the son of the late Sara Jane Cochran.Floyd was a heavy equipment operator for the New York State DOT until he became disabled. He was a member of the Cortland Moose, and played Santa Clause at the Cortland Water Works for 11 years.Floyd is predeceased by his wife Mildred Cornelius Cochran of 46 years, his daughter Joyce Cochran, his brothers; Francis Cochran, Roy Cochran, Ralph Cochran, his sisters; Dora Malone, Ruth Sharpe.He is survived by his children; Floyd R. Cochran, Jr. of PA, James (Paula) of Homer, Joyce (Robert) Stout of Slaterville, Janet (Bryan) George of Virgil, Jane (Kevin) O'Brien of Cincinnatus, his brother Dana (Helen Campbell) Cochran of Trumansburg, his sister; Mid (Tony) Christopher of MD, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.Contributions can be made in Floyds name to The American Parkinson Disease Association; 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305Calling hours will be on Saturday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Perkins Funeral Home 55 W.
