Surine, Jr., Ford L.Ford L. Surine, Jr., age 41, of Corning, NY died on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira.Ford was born on March 31, 1975 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Ford L. Surine, Sr. and Sylvia D. (Orr) Thompson. He was a graduate of Williamson High School, Tioga, PA, class of 1993.He was employed as a sous chef for Bethany Village of Horseheads for eight years. Ford will be remembered for his ability to crack jokes during those hard times - always making those around him laugh. He was a lover of WWE Wrestling, Buffalo Bills football and Batman. He took great pleasure in cooking and baking - especially doing so for the residents at Bethany. His greatest joy in life was his son. He enjoyed every moment he was able to spend with Trenton and his family. He is survived by a son, Trenton Oliver Surine; mother, Sylvia Thompson of Tioga, PA; sister, Brandy Star Thompson of Mansfield, PA; brother, Melvin (Heather) Surine of Corning, NY; niece and special little star, Nichole Surine; special nephew, Colton Surine; mother and father-in-law: Terry and Janice Reed; and several aunts and uncles.In addition to his father, Ford was predeceased by his fiancée, Rebecca Lynn Reed; and uncle, Bucky Orr.Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY. A memorial service will be held at 6:00PM at the funeral home, Pastor Carol Ann Campbell officiating.
