Zezza, FortunaFortuna "Frieda" Zezza, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born on August 22, 1919, in Staten Island, N.Y. to the late Vincenzo and Giuseppa Furia.Fortuna was raised in Staten Island and moved to Brooklyn, N.Y. upon her marriage and lived there for 60 years. In 2012, she moved to Stamford, CT and lived and was well cared for at Atria Stamford. She spent her career working as a bookkeeper, including many years at Memoly Motors in Staten Island and Mediterranean Motors in Brooklyn, N.Y.She is survived by her daughter, Linda Atkins and her husband Evan, her six grandchildren, Craig, Lauren and Erica Atkins, Matthew Zezza (Jennifer), Joseph Zezza (Jessica), Louis Zezza (Kristen), and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and nephews on both the Zezza and Furia sides of the family, as well as her "other" family, Elizabeth, Michael (Michelle) and Elizabeth Botte. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Anthony Zezza, and her son, Robert Zezza.Friends may call on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Harmon Funeral Home 571 Forest Ave Staten Island, NY 10310A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church 30 Manor Rd.
