Our beloved Mother and Grandmother peacefully went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2016. She will now be with her beloved husband of 75 years, Daughter Maggie Wilson and Granddaughter Kelly Rahn. Mom was born on June 27, 1920, in Manteca, California to the late Adolph and Carolyn Salmon. She attended school in Manteca. After High School she completed Cosmetology School and worked for a couple of years. She met, the love of her life, in 1940 and married that same year. They lived in many cities until they moved to Lindsay, California, where they lived for over 50 years. After a major stroke, in March of 2009, her last 7 years were spent at Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, daughter Maggie Wilson, granddaughter Kelly Rahn, sister Ida Lund and brother Arthur Salmon. She is survived by her sister Elzora Bunch, daughters and spouses Priscilla & Jack Parks and Barbara & Bill Murphy, along with the joys of her life Kathy Bourland, husband Rob, Sean Murphy, wife Cheryl, Shelley Ritter, husband Matt, Great Grandchildren Justin and Jessica Rahn, Sydney and Tyler Bourland and Kyle and Kaitlyn Murphy. Our Mom was a Domestic Engineer. She loved cooking and gardening. She was an expert seamstress. She designed and remodeled their well cherished Cabin in Long Barn, above Twain Harte, California. She was Mother of the Year, at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, California, where she belonged for 50 years. She also was a Bible school teacher, helped with many Mother and Daughters Teas, 4H leader and volunteer for many of the Schools that her 3 daughters attended. Frances was loved by her family, friends and all who knew her. Mom was energetic and willing to help anyone and everyone with any projects. She will be remembered for her warm hugs and home cooked meals. She was a combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love. She will be greatly missed by all.Services will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00AM at The First Baptist Church, 581 E. Honolulu, Lindsay, CA. Reception will Immediately follow in the Fireside Room. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or Beast .
