Frances Walker, 91, of Danville, Virginia, passed on December 16, 2021. Frances was born on April 25, 1930 In Edison, NJ. Born to Nancy Mae Taurus and George McKay Jr. Frances was survived by her only child, Debbie Walker-McNair, 4 grandchildren Shantral McNair, Devin McNair, Terrelk McNair, Brandi McNair-Mayers and many more great grandchildren and family membera. After graduatIng from East Rutherford H.S., she attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Where she studied engineering and physical science, later achiving her dream job at NASA. She retired from NASA after 45 years of service at the young age of 55. Devoting her time raising her grand and great children as her own. At the age of 67, Frances started working for the Stone Mountain, GA YMAC Pre-K, until she retired from there at 74 years old. Her life and wisdom and great service throughout the years to many community organizations and church groups, serving as a Sunday school teacher and Summer vocational camp counselo every year until she was physically unable. Frances developEd lung and brain cancer in her years causing her to be relocated to Danville, NC to be closer to her grandson and care taker where she met the Lord at the great age of 91. She truly is a blessing and motivating spirit to follow and will be missed by many as we send her to her best friend and confidant Jesus Christ.
