Romano, FrancescoFrancesco Romano, a longtime resident of Stamford, passed away at Stamford Hospital on Sunday, October 30, 2016 with his family at his side. He was born on the island of Ponza in Italy on October 4, 1930 and was one of six children born to the late Salvatore and Angelina (Iodice) Romano. Francesco was 86 years old at the time of his passing. Francesco is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Maria (Accame) Romano, three brothers, two sisters and extended family and friends.The Romano family will be receiving the condolences of friends and family on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Benedict/Our Lady of Montserrat R.C. Church, 1 St. Benedict Circle, in Stamford.
