Dvorsky, FrancisOn November 6, 2016, Francis Mark Dvorsky (Hooks) passed away peacefully after a short battle with lung cancer.Francis was born on September 20, 1931 in Binghamton, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Mark & Mary, and brother Robert Dvorsky. Fran is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Jean (Lee), his children and grandchildren, Kathleen Lewis & (Rich Suhanov) , Danielle & Michael Brown and Joshua & Mary Kate Lewis, Christopher Dvorsky, Michele Cerretani, Anthony Cerretani & ( Andrea Finlayson), James Francis Cerretani & (Ola Stepnik), and Alanna & Cory Bacorn, Mark Francis & Elizabeth Dvorsky, Stephanie Dvorsky and Stephen Dvorsky, Trina & JR Rivera, Andrea Rivera & (Rory Price), Angelo Rivera & (Tiffani Marie), great grandchildren Elijah & Cameron Brown, Landen & Peyton Price and Paisley Rivera. He is also survived by his sister- in- law Connie Dvorsky and several nieces and nephews.Fran graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in Binghamton where he loved playing basketball & became known as "HOOKS" for his famous hook shot . He had a 45 year career in contamination control and research and development at Ansco (GAF, Anitec, and International Paper). After retirement Fran and Betty split their time between their home in Binghamton and Florida until moving to North Carolina in 2013.Fran was a huge fan of Notre Dame and New York Yankees fan and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. We love you and we'll miss you dearly.
