He was born on November 4, 1939 to Robert and Dorothy (Smith) Wheatley in Lebanon, KY. He was an Army Veteran, and the co-owner with his brother Robert Wheatley of the former Wheatley Truck Parts. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Wheatley, and Joseph Wheatley.Survivors include his wife the former Evelyene Crace of Sellersburg, IN; brothers, David Wheatley (Esther) of Lanesville, IN, and Gary Wheatley (Therese) of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Jane Clark (David) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Janet Trobaugh (Mike) of Jeffersonville, IN; sister-in-law's, Susan Wheatley-Huff of Jeffersonville, IN, and Bernadette Wheatley of Sellersburg, IN; several nieces and nephews whom he loved.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery.
