Mr. Francisco Silva was born on January 29, 1921 to Francisco Silva and Amelia Coronado in Sahuaripa, Sonora. He passed away on February 6, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at his residence in San Luis. Francisco married Elvira Rascon and immigrated to the U.S. where he worked as an agricultural laborer until he retired. Francisco was a member of St. Jude's Church in San Luis, AZ. He was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and being a rancher. He also enjoyed planting vegetables. He was an excellent cook and he will be deeply missed. Francisco is survived by sons Hilarion, Rafael, Edgardo, Francisco and Lauro Silva. Daughters, Luz Del Carmen Flores and Lidia Elena Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvira; sons, Vicente and Roberto Silva, daughter, Lourdes Silva. Wake and Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 8, 2012 from 5-10pm with recitation of the holy rosary at 8pm at Desert Valley Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Thursday February 9, 2012 at 12pm at St. Jude's Church in San Luis, Arizona with Father Jesus Acuña celebrating. Private Cremation will follow. Pallbearers will be Edgardo Silva, Francisco Silva, Francisco Silva Jr., Hilarion Silva, Rafael Silva and Lauro Silva. Funeral and Cremation services have been entrusted to Desert Valley Mortuary.
