Frank Anthony Arellanes, Jr.Ventura, CAOur lives were changed forever when our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Frank Anthony Arellanes, Jr. went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Sunday, May 28, 2017.Frank was born on May 10, 1925 to Frank and Isabelle Arellanes. He was a Chumash decedent and a life long Venturan. Frank was very honored to have served in the United States Navy during World War II as an aviation ordnanceman third class stationed in the South Pacific.Frank worked as a truck driver for O.S.T for 25 years, an occupation that he was proud of. He enjoyed wood working, painting, fishing, hunting, gardening, was quite the musician, and a seasoned storyteller.His jokes and laughter were contagious and his smile lit up the room. He will be truly missed by so many and his legacy will live on forever in our hearts and memories. But most of all...he will always be "good with potatoes!"Frank Arellanes, Jr. is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn A. Arellanes; his daughters: Brenda Wargo, of Ventura, Pamela Kriesel and her husband Tom, of Simi Valley, KiKimberly Mizuno and her husband Ken, of Ventura; his son, Randy Arellanes and his wife Monica, of Ventura; his brothers: Benjamin Arellanes, of Ventura and Jimmy Arellanes, of Sacramento; nine grandchildren: Kristin, Shannon, Jenie, Jodie, Megan, Kenneth, Dillon, Kane, and Kailee; and 14 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Monet, Alexis, Conrad, Caleb, Micah, Isaiah, Isaac, Anneliese, Aubreona, Michael, Emma, Natalie, and Zoey.Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Thursday June 1, 2017 from 4 to 9pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2017 in the San Buenaventura Mission, Main Street Ventura. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
