Frank DeRosa was born on August 25, 1929 to Joseph and Marian DeRosa in Providence, Rhode Island. He passed away peacefully on October 19, 2012 with his family by his side at the Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington.Frank was a building contractor. He moved his family to Issaquah in 1965 to live on his beloved Ponderosa Ranch on Tiger Mountain Road where he built and lived in two homes on the property over the years. It was easy to spot Frank around town wearing his cowboy boots and hat wherever he went. He rode his palomino horses with the King County Sheriff's Posse for several years and served as captain for two of those years. Frank also loved his dogs, hunting, golfing, bowling, shooting pool, water skiing and snow skiing. He enjoyed his cabin in Chelan where he rode snowmobiles and his quad.Frankie is survived by his loving wife Donna and his sister Mary DeRosa. Dad's daughters are Corrine DeRosa, Patti O'Connor (Dave), Terri Schmitt (Dan), his step-daughters Chrissy Bykonen (Kenny) and Lisa Salton. Grandpa's surviving grandchildren are Sheamus McQuade (Kathy), Meagan Shaddock (Donte), Brody O'Connor, Tyler Schmitt and his step-grandson Tanner Bykonen. His great-grandchildren are Elijah Shaddock, Johnny, Stella and Brooklyn O'Connor. He was a loving family man and will be greatly missed by all of us. Frank was preceded in death by his first wife Betty DeRosa and his grandson, Brock O'Connor.A viewing will be held Friday, October 26 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Flintoft's Funeral Home, 540 East Sunset Way, Issaquah WA 98027.
