Frank E. Lucero, 82, born on Oct. 4, 1930, formerly of Mora, passed away at his home in Taos on June 25, 2013. He was quite the outdoorsman. He loved to go fishing and hunting, and working on his ranch.Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Ezequiel and Anne Lucero; his wife, Frances Pino Lucero; one brother, Candelario Lucero; six sisters, Nettie Aragon, Senaida Pacheco, Regina Rubio, Virginia Gonzales, Amanda Sanchez, Georgia Mares; five brothers-in-law, Alfredo Rubio, Fernando Gonzales, Amadeo Sanchez, Mike Mares, Joe A. Pino; and one son-in-law, Martin R. Cisneros.He is survived by two sons, Jerome Lucero, and Alvin (Jocelyn) Lucero both of Taos; two daughters, Margie Cisneros of Taos; sister, Veronica M. Lucero, CSSF of Rio Rancho, Ralph (Frances) Chavez, who was raised like a brother to Frank; two grandchildren, Katrina Lucero and Jeanine Vasquez; five great- grandchildren, Janee Romero, Aaron Vasquez, Wilbert Romero, Isabella Vasquez, Jolene Vasquez, two brothers-in-law, Frank Aragon, Mayo Pacheco; two sisters-in-law, Bertha Lucero and Pauline Pino; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.A rosary will be held held at 7 p.m. today (Monday) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Taos. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Gertrude's Parish in Mora, with interment at the Buena Vista Cemetery at Santo Niño de Atocha Chapel.Arrangements were made with Weylen's Funeral Home in Questa. www.weylens-funeral-home.com.
