Neininger, Frank Edward ,91, passed away on February 19, 2017 at Signature Healthcare East. Frank was born on August 30, 1925 in Louisville, to the late Frank and Mary Wiersch Neininger. He was a proud Naval veteran, surviving during World War II and a retiree from General Electric. Frank was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and a member of the G.I. Joe Post in Jeffersontown #0244. Along with parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. Neininger; and his sister, Mary Angela Salvagne. Here to carry on his proud memory are his children, Sherry Barton (Frank) and Terri LaVon (Les); grandchildren, Christy Martin-Cheatom (Marcus), Angela Early and Craig LaVon; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Popp, Sarah Early, Jessica Siscel, Hailey Cheatom, Jeremy Cheatom, Hayden LaVon, Christopher Early, Katherine Robinson, and Ryan Robinson; great great grandchild, Kaleb Siscel; nieces and nephew, Linda Beam, Fran Gerlach and Frank Salvagne Jr.;cousin, Charles Wirth; along with his two special friends, Michael and Savannah Ennis.Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thursday, February 23, 2017 and 1-2pm Friday, February 24, 2017 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service in honor of Frank will take place Friday at 2pm, with the burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, the family request that expressions of sympathy be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
