Frank M. Kramer, 73RiceJan. 23, 1943 - Oct. 23, 2016In accordance with his wishes, services were private for Frank M. Kramer, 73, of Rice who passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family. A memorial for relatives and friends will be at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.Frank Melvin Kramer was born on January 23, 1943 in Minneapolis to Ervin Cater and Margaret Jordahl. He was married to Jean Schwegel at the Church of St. Augustine in St. Cloud on February 8, 1964. Frank was drafted into the United States Army during the
Vietnam War and served his country for two years. He worked as a laborer at DeZurik's for 25 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to his job at the foundry, he worked at Orth's First Ward Market and also in the meat department at Coborn's in Foley. Frank was a member of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers Union Local #63B and Local #37B, the Cloudy Town Sam Chapter of the Good Sam RV Club and a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 622 of St. Cloud. He enjoyed camping, spending time with his grandchildren and anything that had to do with cars or collecting them. Frank was a straight shooter, who lived up to his name, always telling the truth and being "Frank".Survivors include his wife Jean of 52 years; children, Michael (Julie) of St. Michael, Mark (Ann) of Bowlus and Melissa Kramer of Sartell; grandchildren, Bailey, Morgan, Brandon, Marshal, Mackenzie, Sierra and Anthony; and siblings, Melvin (Sharon) of Waite Park, Judy (Bob) Eisenreich of Avon and David (Christine) of Sartell. He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorials are preferred to a Cancer Organization of donor's choice, Helping Hands Outreach (
