Slabosheski, FrankFrank Slabosheski, age 89, of Ripon, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Prairie Place in Ripon. He was born on March 20, 1928, in Neshkoro, a son of Xavier and Marie (Schrei) Slabosheske. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany and served during the Korean War. On April 26, 1952, Frank married Arvilla Zink at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. For over 30 years, he worked as a die setter for Speed Queen in Ripon. Frank was a member of the VFW Post 10452 and the American Legion Post 366 of Princeton, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Speed Queen Retirees. Gardening, hunting, fishing, playing cards, dancing, raising pigeons and traveling were many of the hobbies and interests that Frank enjoyed. Frank is survived by his 5 children, Katherine Krueger of Milwaukee, Mark (Laureen) Slabosheski of Princeton, Ralph (Alicia) Slabosheski of Neshkoro, Peggy Slabosheski of Carol Stream, IL, Dale (Bev) Slabosheski of Ripon; 8 grandchildren, Adam (Leslie) Krueger, Tamara (Ted) Engelken; Quentin Slabosheski, Julia (Rob) Hall; Andrew (Sara) Slabosheski; Charles Slabosheski, Jared (Emily) Slabosheski; April Slabosheski; 11 great grandchildren, Koby, Blake and Brody Slabosheski; Lucas Krueger, Emmit Krueger, Quinn Krueger, J.T. Foti and Leo Foti; Tallulah Slabosheski; Zoey and Cody Hall; brother-in-law, Vernon (Flora Mae) Zink of Oxford; sisters-in-law, Beverly Schmitz of Montello, Jean Fredrick of Endeavor; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Xavier and Marie Slabosheske; his loving wife of 57 years, Arvilla; sister, Margaret Murphy; son-in-law, Rodney Krueger; 2 brothers-in-law, Donald Zink and Edward Murphy. A Memorial Mass for Frank Slabosheski will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will conduct the Mass. Following the service, Frank will be laid to rest, with full military honors, in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
