Amrhein, FranklinFranklin L. Amrhein, age 82, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, November 28, 2016. He was born on January 31, 1934 in Fond du Lac, the son of Clarence and Dorothea (Smith) Amrhein. He served in the United States Army stationed in Germany from 1957-59. On September 10, 1960 he married Edna Freund at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2016. Frank was the operations manager for Hornung Pro Golf for over thirty years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 and Knights of Columbus #664.Survivors include his son, Jim (Jennifer); daughter, Mary (Mark) Hartley; four grandchildren, Sarah (Erik), Nick, Anthony and Matthew; two great-grandsons, Liam and Lucas; siblings, Casper (Casey) Amrhein, Charles (Dorothy), Catherine Eggers, and Judith Henes; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A Liturgy of the Word Service will follow at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
