Fred Borgmann, 81, of Hawthorne, Florida, and formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away on June 01, 2022 with his son Erik by his side.. Fred was born on April 24, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick Borgmann Sr. and Anne Schemberg Borgmann, brother Hans Borgmann of Chase City, VA, his sister Marianne Mullin of Cocoa FL, and his of loving wife of 32 years, Carolyn Garbade Borgmann. Fred was survived by his daughter Trisha Borgmann Prevette of Winston-Salem NC, sons Fredrick H Borgmann of PA, Erik Borgmann of Narvon, PA, Kurt Borgmann of Pottstown, PA, seven nieces and nephews of which the oldest George Winslow of Pittsburgh, PA, was like a son to him, four grand children, Thad Prevette of Greenville, NC, Evan Prevette and wife Sydney of Winston-Salem, NC, Jaclyn Prevette of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ashley Dougherty of Exton, PA, and two great grand children, Michael and Aubrey Dougherty. Fred worked in the Philadelphia area as a heavy equipment operator and later as the finanical secretary, and then President of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542. In addition Fred was an avid hunter, and raised quality German Sheperds with his wife Carolyn after retiring to Hawthorne, Florida.
