Fred Irvin, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Dublin, California on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the age of 87. Born on August 12, 1936, in Dublin, California, he was the son of the late Mary Irvin.
Fred was a devoted husband to his loving wife Patty, whom he married in the year 20. Together they built a life full of laughter, adventures, and cherished memories. Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Family meant the world to Fred, and he relished being a father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Michelle and her spouse Mc, as well as his son Michael and his spouse Sheryl. Fred was an extraordinary role model, always there to offer guidance, support, and a shoulder to lean on. His passion for life and endless stories will be deeply missed by his children.
Fred treasured his grandchildren and took immense joy in watching them grow. He leaves behind four adoring grandchildren who will always remember him as their kind and playful grandpa.
Educated at Dublin High School, Fred graduated in 1950 before continuing his studies at Cal Berkeley. He always held a thirst for knowledge and became an avid learner throughout his life.
Having served in the Army, Fred achieved the rank of Major and dedicated himself to the service of his country. His unwavering commitment and bravery will be forever honored and remembered.
Fred was a charismatic and light-hearted man, always quick to bring a smile to people's faces. His sense of humor was infectious and he brightened any room he walked into. Whether he was cracking jokes with friends or cheering on his favorite sports teams, Fred's laughter was contagious and could turn anyone's day around.
