Fred Newman Sr., born on May 20, 1945, passed away on April 3, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. He was the beloved son of Paul and Anna Newman. Fred was married to his loving wife, Bonnie Newman, for 40 years and together they raised four children: Fred Jr, Vickie, Twinkle, and James.

Fred was a dedicated father and grandfather, leaving behind 10 grandchildren who brought him much joy and happiness throughout his life.

He attended Wyandotte High School and went on to have a successful career as a Pastor. Fred worked diligently in his community, spreading love and kindness to all who crossed his path. He retired in 2007, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service to others.

Outside of his professional life, Fred had a passion for basketball. He enjoyed watching and playing the sport, often spending time with his children and grandchildren on the court.

Fred Newman Sr. will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
