LIGONIER — Fredrick L. Campbell Sr., age 86, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 4:30 a.m. at Avalon Village in Ligonier, Indiana. He was born on May 23, 1928, to George and Erma (Roe) Campbell. On August 28, 1948, Fredrick married Ruby Stump. She survives. He established Campbell's Garage in 1958. Mr. Campbell enjoyed working and serving the community. He enjoyed attending auctions, traveling, and vacationing in Florida. Fred was a past member of the Sheriff's Merit Board and the Goshen Moose. Surviving are his wife; four children, Linda (Anthony) Campbell-Jimenez of Angola, Peggy Campbell of Kendallville, Daniel (Mary) Campbell, and Fred M. (Connie) Campbell; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and three siblings, Phyllis Burnworth of Cromwell, George Campbell of Goshen, and James Campbell of Galen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Campbell. A funeral service will be held in Mr. Campbell's honor on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Yeager Funeral Home with Pastor John Lutton officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Wilmot, Indiana. There will be a time of visitation on Friday, May 1, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
