Gaby Gill Ketter, born on March 1, 1920 in Lebanon, PA to Fred and Ethel S. Gill, passed away on October 25, 2016 at her home, Above and Beyond, in Allentown, PA. She was 96. She married Richard P. "Dick" Ketter on May 8, 1954 in Lebanon, PA. They resided in Bethlehem, PA for many years, where Dick was a mining engineer for Bethlehem Steel. They also enjoyed a second home in Naples, Florida. Gaby was extremely active in community, church and sporting activities. She and Dick were long time members of Saucon Valley Country Club, where they and their children were active in tennis and golf. She remained very active most of her life. Gaby also worked for the Gill Rock Drill Company, where her mother, Ethel S. Gill was president for more than 30 years. Gaby was very proud of her mother, who was acclaimed as a female executive, in a male dominated field, in an era where women executives were rare. Under her leadership, the company developed an all-terrain drilling machine the "beetle" that was well received by the drilling industry. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Stephanie A. Ketter of Kihei, Hawaii, two sons, Mark S. Ketter of Montfort, Wisconsin and Richard J. Ketter of Reading, PA, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ethel L. Ketter in 2011, and by her husband in 1994. Services: A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon PA 17042. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Grandview Memorial Park.
