It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gae Gorrell, beloved mother, sister, and friend. Gae was born on April 1, 1949 in Cary, North Carolina to the late William and Melissa Purkey.

Gae is survived by her loving son Christopher Gorrell and his girlfriend Julie Wright. She was a retired beautician who dedicated her life to making others feel beautiful. Gae had a passion for gardening and cherished the time spent playing cards with her sisters.

Gae passed away suddenly on May 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. There will be no graveside services. Gae was a donor of life.

There will be a private family gathering Monday May 13th at her residence in Cary to celebrate her life. No flowers are being requested by all the family.
