Gail LailMemphis, TN.Known for her outgoing personality and contagious smile, Gail Madsen Lail died in her sleep on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. She was born on January 13, 1946 in Memphis, developed leadership skills at Camp Miramichee and was graduated from Kingsbury High School where she was a cheerleader and Miss Kingsbury. She attended Millsaps College where she was in Kappa Delta Sorority. Gail's career began at the City of Memphis where she rose quickly to the rank of Director of Insurance. As a resident of Germantown, Gail was active in civic affairs and was a charter member of Farmington Presbyterian Church where she was a choir member. More recently, she resided at Fairway Towers.She is preceded in death by her mother Doris Christenbury Madsen, her husband Tom Lail, Jr., and her son David Lail. Gail is survived by her father Grant Madsen, Jr., her siblings Lorraine Madsen Buckley and Grant (Trey) Madsen III, her grandchildren Hannah, Christian and Jordan Lail, and by many devoted friends and family.A memorial service will be held at Farmington Presbyterian Church at 3 pm on Monday, July 24, with visitation preceding at 2 pm at the church. Gail will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery with her husband, mother and son. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farmington Presbyterian Church.
