ANGOLA — Gale Linn Spence, age 57, of Angola, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015. She was born on April 19, 1958, Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Leroy and Ethel (Henderson) McClelland. She married Anthony Allen Spence on April 27, 1976, in Hudson, Indiana. She worked in car sales for Doug Wilbur in Angola, Indiana. She enjoyed doing crochet, watching racing at Angola Motor Speedway, shopping, cooking, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and playing cards and reading. Survivors include three children, James Allen Spence and Danial Spence, of Angola, Indiana, and Stacy Ann Spence of LaGrange, Indiana; a sister, JoAnn Hanna; four grandchildren, Jakob Edward Spence, Braylee Spence, Jaxon Spence and Josh Kunkle, all of Angola, Indiana; five adopted children, Cathy Focht, Tina Miron, Jodee Hunter and Jim Hunter, all of Lima, Ohio, and James Neely of LaGrange, Indiana; and the children's god parents, Orville and Betty Green of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Allen Spence; her parents; and four sisters, Sharon, Nell Mary, Rita and Betty. Calling hours will be held from 2-5 p.m. today, Friday, Dec.11, 2015, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Sonlight Community Church, Angola, Indiana, with the Rev. Brad Belcher officiating.
