Garrett C. HarrisFairview, Idaho - Garrett Conrad Harris, 12, of Fairview Idaho passed away on April 2, 2014 due to a tragic accident. He was born on March 4, 2002 in Preston, Idaho to Rick and Tara Harris. He attended Preston schools and was currently in the 6th grade at Preston Junior High School. He was an active member of the LDS church and had recently been ordained a deacon by his older brother. He was excited to have just received his first temple recommend in order to perform baptisms for the dead. Garrett was taught the value of hard work at an early age, and was especially influenced by his father. He possessed a sharp mind, and loved to share the things he learned with those around him. Garrett was a friend to all and embodied a love for life that was contagious to everyone around him. He shared a special bond with the teammates and coaches he met while playing the sports that he loved. He carried on a proud family tradition of sporting the #4 on his football and basketball jerseys. He was also often caught wearing the jerseys of his other favorite teams: Preston Indians, Boise State Broncos, Denver Broncos. Garrett is survived by his parents Rick and Tara Harris, his brother R.J., and sisters Cambree and Sydnee. He is also survived by his grandparents: Richard and Ann Harris (Franklin, Idaho), Susanne and Milt Penrod (Smithfield, Utah), David and Lynette Robinson (Richmond, Utah), and his great-grandmother Eloise Toolsen (Smithfield, Utah). He will also be missed by numerous members of his extended family. He was met on the other side by his uncle, Shawn Harris, who we're sure started up a game of one-on-one right away."Good job 'G' - You've won your biggest game."Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 12 p.m. in the Fairview 1st Ward LDS chapel, 165 W. 4800 South in Preston.
