Horneck, Garry E.Garry Horneck, age 80, died peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friend at his residence in New Holstein.Garry was born on April 6, 1936 son of the late Francis and Genevieve (Wajhouskie) Horneck in Sheboygan, He attended Kiel Schools. Garry was employed with Kohler Company for over 16 years, retiring in 1997. On September of 1991 he was reunited with the love of his life, the former Linda Krueger and married her in Kiel on July 4, 1993. Garry enjoyed motorcycle riding, hunting and fishing; especially his many excursions up north with his friends hunting and fishing. He loved detailing his cars, trucks and motorcycles, Garry truly believed the more chrome and lights the better. He was well known for his one of a kind leather work. No matter what someone wanted on the leather work he could draw it up. Garry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. They meant the world to him. He enjoyed babysitting for his great grandchildren, Jase, Jordy and Mason with Linda by his side. They kept him on his toes. Garry is survived by his wife: Linda, 4 children: Allen (Rose), Menasha, Rory (Malou), Ripon, Gary (Darlene) Sheboygan Falls, and Lori (John) Kurtz, Sheboygan Falls; one stepson: Kevin (Leslie) Fredricks, New Holstein; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers: Dale (Darlene) Horneck, School Hill and Dean (Cindy) Horneck, rural Kiel; two sisters-in-law: Lila Rae Horneck, New Holstein and Linda Grapentine, Sheboygan Falls. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Geraldine (Clinton) Blanke; brother: Roger; two nephews: Davis and David Horneck; mother-in-law: Louise (Eugene Behr) Krueger; two brothers-in-law: Jim and David Krueger.Funeral Services for Garry will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th Street, Kiel. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Rebecca Johnston with cremation to follow the service with burial at Kiel City Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, from 12:00PM (Noon) at the funeral home until the time of service at 3:00PM.Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.The family wishes to thank Sharon S. Richardson Home Hospice for all of the care and compassion shown to Garry and his family. We will always remember the "Garry Horneck laugh!" It was one of a kind.
