Garth AndersonMarch 30, 1958 - September 19, 2016Dennis Garth Anderson, 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016. Garth was born on March 30, 1958 in Pocatello, Idaho to Dennis Austin Anderson and Valine Malan Anderson. Shortly after Garth was born in November of 1959 the family moved to Moab, Utah.They lived in Moab until July of 1963 when the family decided to move to Pocatello so that Garth would be able to attend the special education program at Lincoln Elementary. After attending school Garth then went to New Day products until he was about 18 years old. Up until October of 2015, Garth had been living at home.Garth loved Boy Scouts and special mutual activities with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Attending the special mutual activities was one of the highlights of his life. He was also able to attend special needs seminary and institute classes. He was a member of, "The Church…" and loved attending. Garth loved music and singing! Primary songs were his favorite.He was able to participate in the Special Olympics earning several medals. He loved sports of all kinds. He had many ribbons. He loved to attend all of the different sports games and activities that his siblings were involved in. Garth and his mom enjoyed attending all of the Poky High Football and Basketball games, up until about 2 years ago.Garth's family would like to thank Phoenix Management, the staff and the owners, for all the love and special care given to him over the last year.Garth is survived by; his parents, Dennis & Valine Anderson of Chubbuck; brothers, Todd (Trudy) Anderson of Chubbuck, Rick Anderson of Chubbuck, Brent (Lesa) Anderson of West Jordan, UT; sister, Dennalee (Danny) Rupp of Boise and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by; his grandparents; Lewis & Elva Malan, Austin & Beth Anderson; niece, Kendra Odekirk and nephew Carson Anderson.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2016 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Family will receive friends at a viewing prior to services that will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow services in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
