BISHOP, Garth RaymondMay 25, 1991 – Calgary, AlbertaOctober 14, 2017 - Carbon, AlbertaGarth Raymond Bishop of Crossfield, Alberta, passed away on October 14, 2017 at the age of 26 years. Garth was a loyal and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be remembered as hardworking and fun loving. Garth was born on May 25, 1991 to Inez (nee Tweten) and Rod Bishop. Garth grew up in Balzac and attended school in Airdrie. True to Garth's nature; his drive and ambition led him to obtaining his B-pressure Welding Ticket and Class 1 Drivers License at a very young age. During this time Garth would be on the road with his welding company in pursuit of expanding GJB Cattle. It was during this time Garth met his wife Jessie where he charmed her into following him in his entrepreneurial dreams and starting a family together. In October 2013, Lincoln Neil came into the world with Tyson David to follow in February of 2016. One of Garth's greatest desires was to be a father. Growing up with his patient and kind father Rod, Garth naturally took to the role. His children's excitement when he would walk through the door reflected the type of dad Garth was. Garth could not go too far without Lincoln or Tyson trying to keep up. Garth is survived by his wife of two months, Jessie (nee Marsh); sons Lincoln and Tyson; mother Inez; sister Khysa; and grandparents Gordon and Shirley Bishop (nee Jones). Garth is also survived by a very special cousin and friend, Joby Bishop. A Celebration of Garth's life will be held at Crossfield and District Community Center (900 Mountain Ave, Crossfield, AB, T0M 0S0) on Friday, October 20 at 4:30 p.m. Garth's wish was to host "one last party". That being said we would all love for you to stay and celebrate after the service. There will be beef on a bun and a cash bar available. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. For those of you not able to attend, there will be a live stream on Garth's Facebook page. If friends so desire donations may be made to Garth's wife Jessie and sons at any ATB to the "Bishop Trust Account." In living memory of Garth Bishop, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
