Gary Alan Price, 46, passed away on Dec. 1, 2014, at his home in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born on Oct. 17, 1968, in Albany, Ore., and became a resident of Alaska in 1987. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. at St. Innocent's Russian Orthodox Church on Turpin. There will be a potluck style gathering to share stories at the church after the service. Please bring a dish. Gary was a commercial fisherman for salmon on Kodiak Island and crab in the Bering Sea. He was also a hunting and fishing guide, as well as a talented construction worker. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman, which are hobbies that he enjoyed and shared with his family and friends. He was a family man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. The family would like to state, "Thank you to everyone for your continued support as we go through this hard time." Gary is survived by his wife, Wanda Price; son, Sean Price; daughter, Tasha Dunlap; mother, Janet Vasen; sister, Jeni Murphy; granddaughter, Laela Dunlap; mother-in-law, Mary Haakanson; as well as many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends throughout Alaska, Washington and Oregon. Arrangements were by Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
