Our husband and father left this world at the age of 67 yrs, to be with our creator on February 22,2018 at 1:50 pm.

Gary was an avid Nascar fan and loved spending weekends watching the races. He loved to go fishing with his brother, Bobby and his son Gary Paul. He played the guitar like no other, and taught his daughter Kerry to play the spoons. He was in a bluegrass band in North Carolina when he was in his mid thirties. He drove truck for most of his life and loved traveling across country and seeing the scenery.His CB handle was "Nail Bender." He loved country music and his favorite singer was Merle Haggard. He loved his old shows like Mr Ed, I love Lucy to name a few. He was enamoured by the game of golf and followed quite closely. His two granddaughters Hope and Mercedes played for their highschool and he was so proud of them. He loved working with wood and created some beautiful pieces of art, his passion was making wooden signs.

He never met a stranger. After his mom, Dorthey passed in 2015, he inherited her scooter that he and his son modified to attach a trailer to, so he could run around the neighborhood with his dog, runt at his side. Everyone called him "POPS" and he loved to go down to the little store by his house to buy lottery tickets. He had friends on every corner. He loved his wife and all his kids and grandkids, and was excited to meet his grandson and first great grandchild that is on the way. He was very family oriented. He graduated from Laton High school class of "1968" He went into the Navy at the age of 17, and was a vietnam veteren. He was with the love of his life, Cindy Robertson, for 18 years, they lived in Modesto, California for all of those years.
