Gary HalvorsonGary (Grant) Lynn Halvorson, 69, of Hartford passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on May 10, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13 at Kinzley Funeral Home, Hartford Chapel, 100 N Mundt, Hartford SD. Family will be present one hour prior.Gary Halvorson was born on March 9, 1948 to Helmer and Wilma (Plucker) Halvorson. He graduated from USD with a Bachelors in Biology and Chemistry and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta. Gary married Laura in Sioux Falls and together they raised four children. He worked in construction most of his life. Gary enjoyed outdoor activities, traveling, and gardening. He loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Gary is survived by: his children, Chris (Sara) Halvorson of Montrose, Jody (Nick) Driscoll of Hartford, Jamie (Erin) Halvorson and Laura (Mike) Peters of, all of Sioux Falls; nine grandchildren, Faith and Grace Halvorson, Lauryn, Jordyn and Morgyn Driscoll, and Andrew, Megan, Anna, and Ethan Halvorson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glen Dvorak, and his step-dad, Francis Dvorak. www.kinzleyfh.com
