A life to celebrate!
We are saddened to announce the passing of Gary Hill, who was born on August 8, 1961, in Durant, Mississippi; to late Lee Kelly Riley and late Sarah Hill-Jefferson. He peacefully left this world on July 22, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Gary leaves behind his siblings; Mary, Millie, Charles, Lisa, Rick, late Jeffrey, and a surviving aunt, Jewel Sly.
Gary is survived by his loving life partner, though they have been unmarried since 2004, Arlena Hill (Heffner) shared love and friendship, they together raised three wonderful children: Gary "Stephon" Hill (Hope Golden-Hill), Candice Hill-Anderson (Edward Anderson), and Sarah Hill-Day (Christopher Day), and six perfect grandchildren and two bonus grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces(great), nephews(great), cousins, and friends who have turned into family that he absolutely adored.
Gary worked as a Culinary Chef and retired in 2022. He was also actively involved in Prison ministry and Founded "Wise People Follow God Ministry organization."
One of Gary's past times was watching old country western movies, mostly starring Clint Eastwood. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. Gary never met a stranger. He left a mark on everyone he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of the life will take place July 29, 2024 at Christian Assembly Church 6241 Tuscarawas Road Industry, PA 15052 at 11am. Repass will follow right after. The family request that you wear shades of green. A balloon release will take place in his remembrance.
