Remembering Gary

Gary Sanborn, 60, of Washburn, Wisconsin, passed on June 10, 2022. Gary was born on March 06, 1962. He graduated from Ashland High School, in 1980 and served in the US National Guard until 1995 Gary married Kathy Hipsher on January 16, 2000; in Duluth, MN. Amongst his working career, he worked for HiBOB and at the Ashland Paper Mill. Gary was the owner and operator of Sanborn and Son Trucking,for many years. Gary was currently employed with Jake Peters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing Smear, and shaking dice. He loved driving his truck and his Harley. Gary was Gary and he told you like it was!!!! He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Kathy; daughters, Kristina, Megan and Haylee (Aaron); two grandchildren, Levi Sanborn and Amber (Tate) Sanborn and his fur babies, Bella and Corky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Jr.; a grandson, Skyler Hudack; a brother, John Hood; and a sister, Janet Binkowski.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2022 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, in Ashland. A celebration of his life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at his home, 3907 Summit Road, Ashland.
