LeMahieu, Gary R.Gary Robert LeMahieu, age 81, of Marshfield, died peacefully surrounded by his children on Saturday, October 7, 2017.A memorial service will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017. Reverend Samuel Martin will officiate. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday. Gary was born on June 17, 1936 in Marshfield, to William and Margaret (Anderson) LeMahieu. He attended Marshfield catholic area schools. Gary drove semi for over 40 years, was self-employed, and retired from Yellow Freight Company in 1992, having a perfect driving record throughout his trucking career. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Elks Lodge No. 665, Knights of Columbus, and the Central Wisconsin Sportsman's Club. He loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, and traveling. He is survived by his children, Cindy (David) Friske, Robert (Virginia) LeMahieu, Lori Lee (Fritz Gates) LeMahieu, Lisa (Chris) Brown and Julie LeMahieu. 11 grandchildren, Billy, Matt, Samantha, Mikey, Doug, Jessie, Sam, Tommy, Callie, Tyler, and Todd. Seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Betty (John) Hughes, and Gail (Arlon) Haessly, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his former wives Ruth Green and Barbara Bauman, and three children, Sue, Douglas and William.Online condolences may be made at www.hansenfuneralhome.com
