Gary Richardson passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, surrounded by his family who loved and cherished him dearly. He was born on August 15, 1948, in Fresno, CA, but proudly raised in Calwa, CA, where many lifelong friendships began. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1967. Gary excelled in sports. In 1968, Gary was drafted by the United States Army. After returning, he worked alongside his father Moe with the railroad where he retired. Later he found his calling in sales and enjoyed sharing his great gift of gab. Gary never met a stranger, and loved nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Moe and Gerri Richardson; and wife of 32 years, Kathy Richardson. Gary is survived by his sons, Joey Richardson and his wife Simone, and Chris Richardson and his wife Julia; four grandchildren, Garrett, Mia, Madison, and Andrew; as well as his sisters, Linda Waring, and Jan Stewart. Visitation will be held at Farewell Funeral Service, Fresno, CA, on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at New Hope Community Church, Clovis, CA, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held at Calwa Park Recreational Center.
