Gary W. PruittMonahansGary W. Pruitt passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, in Monahans, Texas. He was born on Feb. 1, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas, to Joe L. Pruitt and Joan C. Pruitt. He attended school in Snyder, Texas, Denver City, Texas and Hobbs, New Mexico. He served in the
Army from 1975 to 1981 as a military Police Officer. He worked many years in the Oil and Gas Industry.Gary married Ann A. Pruitt on April 5th 1977. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.He is survived by his wife, Ann, of the home; his daughter, Amanda Breaux and husband Rudy Breaux of Monahans, Texas, as well as their two kids, Katelynn Breaux 19 years old and Kristopher Breaux 15 years old. Other survivors include his daughter, Lacreasha Montgomery of Hobbs, New Mexico; her two daughters, Jessica Thompson and Miguela Thompson of Hobbs, New Mexico and her son, Ronnie Montgomery of Hobbs, New Mexico; Ronnie's three daughters, Karsyn, Kynlee and Kamsyn Thompson. Gary is also survived by a sister, Deborah Parker of Hobbs, New Mexico and brother Stevie Pruitt of Abilene, Texas and Terry Pruitt of Carlsbad, New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.We would like to send a special thank you to Bobby and Linda Guarduno for their love and friendship as well as Johnny LeBlanc, adopted daughter Samantha Thompson and her daughter, Alivia.Memorials may be directed to Wounded Warriors.Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Shiloh Baptist Church (300 West E Street) in Monahans, Texas, with Pastor Jeppie Wilson officiating. Cremation will follow.Visit our website
