Gay Rester, 61, of Arlington, Texas, passed on January 14, 2021. Gay was born on March 06, 1959 in Marfa TX to Anita Jean Moore and Richard Walden Rester. Though her life was cut short due to her battle with cancer, she she lived a truly remarkable one filled with amazing journeys and a family that loved her dearly. She grew up all over Texas and was an magnificent artist and a loving, selfless mother. After graduating from Grapevine High School in 1977, she put her art skills to work in the ad department for RadioShack and later for New Woman Magazine. She then took the lead providing for her family as well as countless others by putting her amazing talent to work traveling from show to show selling her masterpieces to people all around the world and putting a smile on everyone's face that she encountered. She loved her family with all of her heart and was a truly remarkable person. She will be missed dearly. She is survived in death by her son Matthew McNew, his wife Kayleigh Garber their children Bella, Zoe, and Dax; her daughter Kristen Shamblin, her husband Eric, and their children Caleb, Ethan, and Derek. Her brother Keith Rester, sister Susan Rester and her husband Danny Miller, along with countless nieces and nephews and extended family. She is proceded in death by her husband Charles Bradford, parents Jean Moore and Richard Rester, and her brother Randy.
