Gayle Ann Weikart, 72, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 06, 2023.

Born April 19, 1951, in East Palestine, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Katherine (Latham) Pancake and stepdaughter of Frank Snodgrass.

Gayle graduated in 1969 from Columbiana High School and began her career as an office assistant shortly after.

To know Gayle, was to love her. She had a smile that lit up a room and a warmth that enveloped others around her in love. She selflessly gave to others and sacrificed her entire life. She would starve so another could eat, freeze so another could stay warm, and would give her last dollar to anyone in need.

Gayle was also a lifelong Clippers fan, spending countless days and nights at the Columbiana Football Field, cheering on her favorite star players, Davey and Curt, along with numerous nephews and friends. 

Gayle leaves behind her devoted son, Curt Weikart (Lisa Corwon), granddaughter Michaelyn Saltsman, brother Frank Pancake (Juliet Jaeger), Sisters Betty (Bob) Belding, Donna (Ted) Rupert, and Kassie (Leonard) Holiday – along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving son, David M. Weikart.  

Gayle will be laid to rest December 1, 2023 - 12-Noon at the Columbiana Cemetery.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to those who cared for Gayle over the last few years, and a special thank you to University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio for providing outstanding care to Gayle in her final days and comfort to her family.
