It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gene 'Brother' Mitchell Jr. on July 4, 2023. Born on December 29, 1967, in Paris, Kentucky, Brother brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Brother thought the world of his sister and brother-in-law, Melinda 'Sissy' and Bruce Moore.
Although Brother did not have any children of his own, he was a role model to his nieces Nicki (Michael) Moore, Megan (Brandon) Pingleton and Ashley (Dusty) Moore as well as his great nieces and nephews Brailyn, Jettlyn, Briston, Colton, Gracie and Maverick.
Brother was best known for his contagious sense of humor and his ability to lighten up any room. With his quick wit and playful nature, he always had a joke ready or a funny story to share.
Besides his infectious humor, Brother had a deep love for his family and friends. He cherished every moment spent with them and was always there to offer support and bring cheer. Brother had a heart of gold and would go above and beyond to help others, displaying his generous and selfless nature.

He loved fishing and being with his friends and family.
Gene's laughter and loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him. While we mourn the loss of this incredible person, we reflect on the joy he brought into our lives. May his memory continue to bring smiles and laughter even in the midst of our sorrow.
