Geneva M. HenselCOLUMBUS: Geneva M. Hensel, 92, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. She was born on October 14, 1924, in Hardin County to the late Harold Lester and Edna Marie (Holland) Hensel. Geneva was graduate of the Grant Hospital School of Nursing, and worked as a Nurse in Neurosurgery for over 45 years at Mount Carmel West Hospital, Columbus. She was a member of the German Village Society as well as the German Village Garden Club. She is survived by her nieces: Beverly (Marshall) Baker of Marion, Bonnie (James) McKee of Marion, Glena (Sam) Roszman of Marseilles, Becky McKinnis of Harpster, Renee Appelfeller of Mt. Victory and Elaine Hensel of Upper Sandusky; her nephews: Bernie (Nancy) Swavel of Marion and Brian (Janice) Swavel of Morral.Geneva was preceded in death by her sister, Winnifred Hensel Swavel; and her brother, Lester Hensel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery, Goshen Township.
